Temporary/ Contractual Recruitment
Clients may require a short-term assignment to be completed and since the economic downturn there has been a transformation to hiring on a Temporary or Contractual basis. Nobuntu provides a solution to the Client, by utilizing Temporary or Contractual personnel, which provides the Client flexibility regarding their recruitment needs.
According to the Department of Labour workers whose services are provided to a Client by a recruitment company are employed by the Agency. The recruitment company therefore becomes the Employer of the Temporary or Contractual worker. Nobuntu enters into an Employment agreement with the individual and enters into a Service Agreement with the Client for the project or assignment they wish to be completed. Once this assignment is concluded the agreements are automatically terminated, and the Candidate can be re-assigned at another project.
Nobuntu manages all contract negotiations, administration, including terms, duration, rates and termination.
Although there is no direct employment relationship between the Employee and the Client, both the employment agency and Client (Company) are jointly responsible to the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
Nobuntu will render the services of the Temporary/ Contracting employee to the Client, it then becomes our responsibility to invoice our Client for services rendered, deduct the statutories, our administration fee and then pay our candidate the agreed upon salary. If the individual is paid under the threshold a Temporary Employee must receive annual paid leave, sick leave and is entitled to family responsibility leave, sick leave and overtime. Furthermore, temporary employees are also entitled to be paid for public holidays that arise during the tenure of employment. We have a letter (Determination in terms of Section 50) from the Department of Labour which allows Nobuntu to offer our High Managerial, Professional and Technical employees earning above the threshold and all-inclusive remuneration package This is beneficial to the Client as it now means Nobuntu will not include this portion into our fee. This letter is renewed on an annual basis.
We make sure that our Employees remuneration is structured in accordance to the regulation of SARS and give them the necessary advice, utilising tools such as medical aid and retirement annuities to have the optimum take home pay. They are paid promptly on a monthly or weekly basis, with Nobuntu utilising VIP Software to once again give the Employee the confidence of being related to a professional, no risk company. They have a designated representative from Nobuntu that will hand deliver or email their payslips through to them after their pay day. The representative can then also inform the Employee of trends within the market and projects that maybe apparent within the future.
